Since 2002, I have been working extensively with a Sony High
Definition camera, shooting (among others), for the EMMY nominated documentary feature
Omar and Pete (Tod Lending - Producer). Most of this work has been hand-held. I have
really enjoyed this new format, and have been very happy with the quality
of the picture that this camera provides both aesthetically and technically.
It was so refreshing to finally
be able to enjoy the wide shots on the television screen. When i first
started shooting HD i was simply blown away by the incredible picture
i was getting. People kept coming to the monitor to check out the quality.
For someone who has started his career with 35 mm film camera, filming
with HD camera feels like i am back to my roots.
As a result of this new passion of mine, and the fact that more and
more producers are shifting to HD, Log In Productions has been using extensively the Sony HDW-F900, Cine Alta and Sony PMW-EX3 XDCAM High Definition cameras as part of our production gear.
